It establishes each party's responsibilities for protecting PHI and outlines what happens in the event of a breach.
Yes. When PrivaSend processes documents that may contain PHI on behalf of your practice, we function as a Business Associate under HIPAA. We are designed to minimize PHI exposure through immediate redaction, but the BAA formalizes that relationship legally.
